May 27

There were reports of a controlled burn in the Horton area, a dog bite in the Richards area, a careless and imprudent driver in the Nevada area, a theft in the Schell City area, threats in the Nevada area, animal abuse in the Schell City area, an agency assist in the Horton area, a vicious dog in the Walker area, a disturbance in the Nevada area, an alarm in the Nevada area, an alarm in the Nevada area, and a controlled burn in the Sheldon area.

Ray C. Nunley, 30, of Deerfield, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of probation violation. He is being held in lieu of a $1,808.80 bond.

Timothy T. Williams, 22, of Kansas City, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of failure to appear for property damage. He was released in lieu of a $1,552.18 bond.

May 30

There were reports of a suspicious person in the Nevada area, a civil matter in the Deerfield area, a theftin the Nevada area, a structure fire in the Moundville area, a road hazard in the Horton area, a theft in the Richards area, an animal bite in the Nevada area, and harassment in the Nevada area.

Shane L. Tiller, 28, of Springfield, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of theft of anhydrous ammonia, and possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container. He is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Timothy L. Martin, 33, of Springfield, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of theft of anhydrous ammonia, and possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container. He is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
