Charles Thomas "Chuck" Mead

Charles Thomas "Chuck" Mead, 63, of Prescott, Kan., dided Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kan. He was born on Oct. 4, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of James and Ann Finch Mead. He married Peggy Jo Frakes, on July 27, 1974. He was employed as a farrier and owned and operated Circle M Saddlery. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James, Bobby and Donny Mead. Survivors include his wife Peggy Jo, of the home; two daughters, Jodi Morrison and Jamie Coltrane and Larry, of Uniontown, Kan.; three sisters, Betty Messick, Barb Rains and Mary Engleton,; and four grandchildren, Kaleb, Kolby, Jordan and Sadye.

A private family burial was held at the Fairview Cemetery, in Fulton, Kan. Contributions are suggested to the Chuck Mead Memorial Fund.
