Sept. 12

An accident occurred at 10:40 a.m., on Austin and Centennial, involving a pickup driven by Jacky L. Oehring, Harwood, and a van driven by Tracy A. Shumaker, of Nevada. Elizabeth N. Hyder, a passenger in the Shumaker vehicle, received evident but not disabling injuries.

Sept. 14

An accident occurred at 4 a.m., on Walnut after Chestnut, when an unknown vehicle struck a parked pickup owned by Martha E. Steger, of Gallatin, Mo. The accident is still under investigation.

Sept. 16

An accident occurred at 5:52 p.m., on Austin and Centennial, involving a car driven by Wayne L. Race, of Nevada, and a pickup driven by Joyce L. Wallace, of Nevada. No injuries were reported.

Sept. 17

There was a report of a burglary in the 1300 block of north Washington, made by Shih-Jung Yuan, of Nevada. A wallet and contents were reported.

Sept. 19

There was a report of a petty theft from a motor vehicle, in the 400 block of west Hunter, made by Stacy Collins, of Nevada. She reported a purse and contents stolen.

There was a report of a petty theft from a motor vehicle in the 1000 block of Walnut, made by Mickie Phillips, of Fort Scott. He reported an MP3 player, and a purse and contents stolen.

Sept. 20

An accident occurred at 1 p.m., at Wal-Mart's parking lot, involving a pickup driven by Kirk T. Jennings, of Nevada, and an SUV driven by Michael J. Bolan, of Nevada. No injuries were reported.

A one-vehicle accident occurred at 6:50 p.m., Maple before Lynn, when a pickup driven by Jennifer M. Stevenson, of Nevada, when she swerved to miss a dog and struck a utility pole.

Sept. 21

There was a reort of a vehicle theft in the 500 block of south College, made by Rhonda Howard, of Dallas, Texas. A tan 2003 Ford Focus was reported stolen. The vehicle was recovered at the United Methodist Church, in Nevada.

Sept. 22

There was a report of a buglary in the 900 block of a north Colorado, made by Baldemar Martinez, of Nevada. A television and DVD player were stolen.

An accident occurred at 4:59 p.m., at Cherry Street Grill's parking lot, involving a car driven by Ann I. Wolfe, of Nevada, and a parked SUV owned by Joshua Berry, of Fulton, Kan., and a parked car owned by Hannah McKean-Shields, of Nevada, and a parked car owned by Angelique Ducharme, of Nevada. No injuries were reported.

An accient occurred at 5:23 p.m., on Centennial and Locust, involving a pickup driven by Janet F. Snead, of Nevada, and a car owned by Ellen F. Yurk, of Nevada. No injuries were reported.
