Verdon H. Dauben and Chelsa J. (Travis) Dauben, Fort Scott, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 6, 2009, at Gunn Park. They were married on Sept. 11, 1959, at the First Baptist Church, Fort Scott, with the Rev. John Hooge officiating. The couple have two children, Joe and Joyce; and six grandchildren. The reception was hosted by Joe and Angie Dauben and Steve and Joyce Larsen, along with their children.
