Oct. 5

There were reports of suspicious activity in the Deerfield area, an abandoned vehicle in the Nevada area, a brush fire in the Nevada area, a cow out in the Milo area, a suspicious vehicle in the Nevada area, a wanted subject in the Deerfield area, a farm animal in the road in the Stotesbury area, gun shots heard in the Nevada area, and suspicious vehicles in the Dederick area.

William L. Carpenter, 26, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of non-support. He is being held in lieu of a $7,500 bond.

Diane R. Orr, 45, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of 16 counts of forgery. She was released in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Shannan W. Turley, 44, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of possession of a loaded firearm while intoxicated, and driving while intoxicated, prior offender.

There were reports of a traffic stop in the Nevada area, a runaway in the Sheldon area, vandalism in the Sheldon area, a try to contact in the Sheldon area, a burglary in the Richards area, a child custody issue in the Nevada area, a petty theft in the Metz area, cows out in the Nevada area, a fire in the Nevada area, a burglary in the Schell City area, a runaway in the Sheldon area, and a check well being in the Harwood area.

Roy L. Anderson, 37, of Blackwell, Okla., was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of failure to appear. He is being held in lieu of a $450 bond.

Oct. 7

There were reports of a jail disturbance in the Nevada area, a disturbance n the Rich Hill area, an assault in the Nevada area, a traffic stop in the Nevada area, and a vehicle accident in the El Dorado Springs area.

Darin E. Lumley, Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked. He is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

Shawn T. Grant, of Fort Scott, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of forgery. He is being held in lieu of a $1,500 bond.

Don W. Wilson, 29, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of endangering the welfare of a child. He was released in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
