Rebecca Renee "Becky" Johnson, 36, of Joplin, Mo., died at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at her home, she had been in ill health for four years.

She was born June 30, 1973, in Fort Scott, the daughter of James W. and Patricia A. Clubine Johnson.

She graduated from Columbus High School in 1991. She moved back to Miller, Mo., to live with her mother in August of 2005. In December of 2005 she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. She fought a long battle with the cancer while raising her two precious children. She had been a resident of Joplin since March of 2009.

Becky worked as a bank cashier at Harrah's Casino, in St. Louis, Mo., for 5 years.

Survivors include one son Branden Johnson and one daughter Makayla Johnson, both of the home; her mother Patricia Clubine, of Joplin; one brother Dale Johnson and wife Amanda, of Oronogo; and their children, Jace, Olivia, and Sydney Johnson; and a uncle Jim Braden, of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father and one son Devon Johnson.

Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, at the First Presbyterian Church, in Baxter Springs, Kan., with the the Rev. Bill Christman, officiating. The family has suggested expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to her childrens' educational trust fund.
