Albert Jacob Hauf, 85, Nevada, passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Christian Health Care in Nevada. He was born March 14, 1924, in Dallas, S.D., to George John Hauf and Emma Stinkie Hauf.

Albert was born and reared in South Dakota. He made his living as a farmer. Albert came to Missouri in 1957 and Vernon County in 1971 and spent the remainder of his life here. He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge. He was a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Survivors include two sons, James M. Hauf, and Mark A. Hauf, both of Walker, Mo.; one daughter, Sharon Crouse, Walker; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Manke, Salem, Okla., and Elsie Feeblecorn, Dallas, S.D. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ann Hauf, and two sons, George Hauf and Carl Hauf.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, at 10:30 a.m., at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Terry Mosher officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service. Cremation will follow.
