Rodney Earl Schnedler, 45, Nevada, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, following a short illness. He was born Sept. 5, 1964, in Nevada, to Robert Lee Schnedler and Mildred Evadyne Moore.

Rodney grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1982. He lived in Dallas, Texas, for 20 years working in hotel management. He came back to Nevada in January 2009. Rodney was currently employed by US Bank in Nevada. While living in Dallas, Rodney was a member of the Crossroads Community Church, active in Aids Life Walk, the Diabetes Association, and the Autism Program.

Survivors include his mother, Mildred Wales and stepfather Charles, Nevada; three sisters Cheryl Lorenz, Fulton, Mo., Connie Martin, Columbia, Mo., and Sandra Pippin, Nevada; one brother, Robert Schnedler, Nevada, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Richard and Roger.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Bert Travis officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 7-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, at the funeral home.
