Sandra Dee Phillips, age 66, a former resident of Fort Scott, Kansas, and more recently of Overland Park, Kan., died unexpectedly Thursday, May 6, 2010, at her home.

She was born Feb.16, 1944, at Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Howard E. Graham and Margery M. Lowry Graham.

She along with her cousin, Bobby Reed, owned and operated their own hair salon in the Kansas City area for several years.

She also enjoyed interior decorating.

Sandi had also been employed by both the Bourbon County and Jasper County Sheriff's Departments. She was an avid fan of Tiger Woods and enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs, the New York Yankees and tending to her plants.

Survivors include her companion of 10 years, Tom Maples, of the home in Overland Park; a son, Todd Phillips, Austin, Texas and a daughter, Piper Phillips, Joplin, Mo. Also surviving are a sister, Tammy Brinkman and husband, David, Wylie, Texas; three brothers, Troy Graham and wife, Jo Nell, Wichita, Kan., Daryl Graham and wife, Beth, Fort Scott, Kan., and Randy Graham and wife, Becky, Joplin, Mo.

Also surviving are three "adopted grandchildren" Justin, Jerod and Chelsea Brinkman; several cousins including Wendell Redden and Dixie Block who where like her brother and sister and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sandra's brother, Randy Graham, will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m., Monday, May 10, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the Cheney Witt Chapel.

Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kansas.
