Rex Norman Spall

Rex Norman Spall, 59, Sheldon, Mo., passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar following a brief illness. He was born July 28, 1950, in Detroit, Mich. His parents were Francis LoRee, Sr. and Mary Alice VanBlaircum LoRee. He married Mary Ward on April 9, 1968, in Howell, Mich., and she survives of the home.

Rex was born and reared in Michigan. He made his living as an over-the-road truck driver. He had resided in the Sheldon and Milo area since 1972. He was an avid NASCAR fan and also liked to hunt and fish.

Survivors in addition to his wife Mary include three daughters, Tracy Ann Hanson, Sheldon, Candi Lee Belew, Sheldon, and Melanie Wiles, Liberal, Mo.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Francis LoRee Jr., Manhattan, Kan.; two sisters, Sandra Kirbey, Sheldon, and Brenda Baxter, Milo, Mo.; and stepfather, Francis LoRee Sr., Milo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon. Family and friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
