Debra Louise Motz, 47, Lamar, Mo., passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at the Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar.

Debra was born Jan. 9, 1963, in Lamar. She was a lifetime resident of Barton and Vernon counties. She attended Sheldon High School in Sheldon, Mo. She received her Registered Nurse's license at Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kan. She was employed at Truman Healthcare in Lamar. She worked for Premier Healthcare as a hospice nurse and at the Nevada City Hospital in Nevada, Mo., for several years.

Debra married Kevin Motz on June 21, 2006, in Miami, Okla. He survives of the home. Other survivors include three daughters, Pamela Johnson and Renee Beck of Mindenmines, Mo., and Patricia Taylor of Waco, Mo.; her mother and step-father, Patsy and T.D. Yount of Liberal, Mo.; two sisters, Diana Hines of Nevada and Brenda Bartlett of Union Town, Kan.; one brother, Mark Johnson of Liberal, Mo.; grandchildren, Chase Taylor, Gage Taylor, Trent Taylor and Anthony Johnson; stepsister, Deborah Cancinos; stepson, Lee Gilliam; stepgrandchildren, Gabrielle Boyd, Luis Gilliam, Kevin Gilliam, Mishel Cancinos, Shaylean Gilliam, Nikie Gilliam and Lee Gilliam; two great-grandchildren, Braxton and Misha.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Karl and Otis Jones and great-grandparents, Ras and Lena Jones, and Felix and Doshia Pennington.

Debra was a member of the Liberal Baptist Church in Liberal, Mo.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m., at the Konantz-Warden Funeral Home Chapel in Lamar. Burial will follow in Liberal City Cemetery, Liberal.
