Delores Ann Lee, 79, passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas, on Nov. 23, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Delores was born in Nevada, Mo., on Aug. 16, 1931, to Gladys Lavern Juliet Sanders Deaton and Harvey Deaton. She graduated from Nevada High School, where she was a cheerleader. She was both a model and a beautiful and talented singer, and she loved Patsy Cline.

Delores was married to her high-school sweetheart, John Harold Lee, for 30 years, and had four wonderful children. John and Delores remained very close her entire life.

Delores was a cherished mother, grandmother and loyal friend. She was a completely selfless person. Delores lived her life devoted to her children and grandchildren, and she helped raise her beloved granddaughter, TaraRose Lee.

Delores owned and operated health food stores for most of her adult life. She helped thousands of patrons with not only their physical health, but their spiritual health as well. She lived her life as an adventurer and missionary and, in her later years, moved to the Northern New Mexico mountains with her daughter Suzanne, where they built a beautiful mountain retreat where all of God's children were welcomed to find sanctuary and peace.

Delores will be dearly missed by her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, John A. Lee and grandchildren, Bryan, David and SaraGrace; daughter, Suzanne Lee and granddaughter, TaraRose; son and daughter-in-law, James and Amy Lee, and grandsons, Hunter and Harrison; daughter, Margaret Kathryn Lee; ex-husband, John Harold Lee; and sister, Shirley Waymire.

A celebration of Delores' life will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, at 12 p.m., in the Hankamer Chapel at Second Baptist Church -- Woodway Campus, with the Rev. Jeff Calhoun officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Chesterville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a reception to be held at 4 p.m., at the residence of John A. Lee.

Surely, the Angels of high will rejoice and sing praises with the return of their comrade and friend, Delores Ann Lee. She will be dearly missed every day, until her family can be with their beloved mother and grandmother, once again together in the loving arms of God.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of Delores Ann Lee be made to the Star of Hope at www.sohmission.org
