Albert Leroy Stroud, 74, of Arcadia, Kan., died at 1:43 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, in St. John's Burn Center, Springfield, Mo.

He was born Sept. 26, 1936, in Pittsburg, Kan., at Mt. Carmel hospital. His life was all about being a truck driver and his handle was "Supertrucker" for his whole career. Lee died from health complications and burn injuries from his house catching on fire.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary E. Buchanan and Albert W. Stroud.

Survivors are his half-sister, Mary Gilbert and her husband, Don; two daughters, Bonnie Phillips and her husband, Danny, and Tina Pritchett; one son, Fred and his wife, Robin; four grandchildren, Brandon Pritchett and his wife, Bree, Amanda Zehring and her husband, Philip, Michael Philips and his wife, Amy, and Elisha Stukesbary and her husband, Dewey.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, at the Large Cemetery, in Bourbon County, under the direction of the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, Girard. Following the services, the family will gather at the Arcadia Community center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to help with final expenses. These can be given to Thelma Medley or mailed to the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 518 W St. John, Box 258, Girard, 66743.
