Robert "Bob" N. Lafferty

Robert "Bob" N. Lafferty, 60, Adrian, Mo., formerly of Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Adrian Manor in Adrian, Mo. He was born Nov. 12, 1950, in Nevada, to George Lafferty Sr. and Evelyn Lafferty.

Bob graduated from Nevada High School in 1968. He worked at Quality Products in Nevada for many years. Bob was a member of the First Christian Church while in Nevada. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, and the Missouri Tigers. He loved to go fishing with his caregiver Jim Edwards while living in Nevada and also in Adrian, Mo. Many knew Bob as one who liked being active at Nevada High School in sports activities as equipment manager.

Survivors include one brother, Bill and his wife, Carol; and many loving nieces and nephews as well as loving family members who loved him dearly. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers George Lafferty Jr. and Leroy Lafferty.

Thank you to all the loving people at Adrian Manor and other support groups for what they did to help make Bob's life a quality one.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. David Rorabaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to the service, and friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
