Darwin Raymond "Ray" Badders

Darwin Raymond "Ray" Badders, 54, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011, at his home in Nevada. He was born Feb. 27, 1957, in Iola, Kan., to Darwin Ray Badders and Pauline Ruth Bruner Badders. Ray was raised in Bronson, Kan., and attended Uniontown High School and graduated from Marmaton Valley High School. He married Karla Miller and they were blessed with one daughter, Kyla Rae. He moved to Nevada and married Janice Hendrix and they were blessed with one son, Jared Eugene. They were later divorced.

Ray worked for several years as a supervisor of Klein Tools in Moran, Kan. He was also a tuck pointer and construction worker for many years until his illness.

He is survived by one daughter, Kyla Rae Crowl, Paola, Kan.; one stepson, Doug Duncan, Nevada; his father, Darwin Badders, Uniontown, Kan.; two sisters, Ellen Harper and husband, David, and Diana Huff and husband, Dean, both of Bronson, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Seitz; one sister, Darlene Badders; and his son, Jared Badders.

Following cremation, the family will hold a memorial service on Aug. 20, at 3 p.m., at the Bronson Community Center in Bronson, Kan. Memorials may be given to the family in care of Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada.
