Connie Diane Belcher, 61, formerly of Nevada, passed away from a heart attack at Villa St. Francis, Olathe, Kan., on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011. She was born March 9, 1950, in Nevada, to Roy Pulliam and Eileen Smith Pulliam. She married Robert Belcher in May 1991.

Connie was reared in Nevada and attended Nevada High School. She worked in the automotive department at Sears in the 1970s. After its closing, she moved to Olathe, Kan., where she continued working at Sears. After returning to Nevada, she was employed in the office at Key Industries until their closing, then at the office of Wood's Grocery. She relocated back to Olathe in 2008, to be with her daughter and family.

Connie lived life to the fullest. She loved to bowl, play volleyball, play cards, and go shopping with her friends. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and family, especially at Christmas.

Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Huff and her husband, Christopher, Olathe; two grandchildren, Keely Eileen, age 11, and Benjamin Anthony, age 8, both of Olathe; one sister, Edith McHugh and her husband, Daniel, Kansas City, Mo.; two nephews, Daniel McHugh III, Kansas City, Mo., and Roy McHugh and his wife, Amie, Shawnee, Kan.; and two grandnieces, Tess and Ella McHugh. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2, at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada, with the Rev. Roger Stuart of First Family Church in Overland Park, Kan., officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2, prior to the service.
