Morris Franklin Maxson

Morris Franklin Maxson, 59, Nevada, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at his home in Nevada, following an illness of several months. He was born Nov. 26, 1951, in Roger City, Mich., to Morris Franklin Maxson and Ruth Ella Strickland Maxson. He married Debbie Bloodgood on Dec. 19, 1970, in Kansas City, Kan., and she survives of the home.

Morris was born in Michigan, but grew up in Florida. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1975. Following the service he resided in a variety of locales settling in Nevada for the past 20 years. He worked as an auto-body repairman. Morris was a member of the Christ Church in Nevada.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Debbie, include two daughters, Lucille Rhodes, Edwardsville, Kan., and Deborah Hardie, Nevada; six grandchildren; three sisters, Donna Jean O'Dell, Sandra Lee Nesseth and Ruth Ann Dorman, all of Nevada.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Life Church, 421 N. Centennial Blvd., at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16. Those who wish may contribute to the American Cancer Society.
