Edith "Arlie" Stewart passed away at home on Christmas Eve in Leavenworth, Kan. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, and the funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, both at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial in the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Disabled Veterans of America in care of the funeral home.

Arlie was born on July 10, 1929, in California and moved to Nevada, Mo., when she was 15. She married Martin Edward Stewart in May of 1948. Together they moved to Bonner Springs, Kan., where they raised four children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Edward Stewart; and an infant son, Michael Glen Stewart. Arlie is survived by her four children, Candy Weir and husband, Bill, of Shawnee, Kan., Rick Stewart and wife, Aida, of Lenexa, Kan., Kathy McClellan and husband, Bill, of Leavenworth, Kan., and Marcia Kelling and husband, Craig, of Lenexa, Kan. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
