Thelma Arlean Watson

Thelma Arlean Watson, 94, Grand Junction, Colo., formerly of Sheldon, Mo., passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012, at LaVilla Grande Care Center, Grand Junction, Colo. She was born Nov. 24, 1917, in Durango, Colo., to Herbert E. Warner and Rose Ann Palmer Warner. She married J.K. "Pete" Watson and he preceded her in death in 1995.

Thelma was raised in Colorado. She came to the Sheldon area in the 1950s. She and her husband farmed near Sheldon for many years. Thelma attended the Nevada Church of Christ and the Sheldon Church of Christ. She had lived in Colorado since 1995.

Survivors include one son, Keith Watson and his wife, Lora, Grand Junction, Colo.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Andrea Reaves; three brothers; and six sisters.

A private committal was held in Brasher Cemetery in Jerico Springs, Mo.
