NEVADA -- The El Dorado Springs Lady Bulldogs defeated Nevada Thursday night at Nevada Middle School.

"Tonight, we struggled to find a rhythm and could never really get a hold of the game," Lady Tigers head coach Ashley Thoreson said. "We didn't look like the same team that came out and beat Joplin on Tuesday."

El Dorado Springs won the opening set by the final score of 25-21 and ultimately went on to take the match, winning the second and final set, 25-16. "We gave El Dorado way too many free balls and they run a quick offense so we had a very hard time defending them," Thoreson said. "They are a disciplined team and gave us very few opportunities to get any momentum. El Dorado came out to play and we didn't handle the pressure very well."

Rilie Good led the Lady Tigers with six blocks and six kills, while Morgan McNeley recorded 10 assists. Bree Reppert finished with a team-high 12 digs.

El Dorado Springs also came out on top in the junior varsity match, 25-17 and 25-12.

Nevada's JV squad is scheduled to be back in action today at the Odessa, Mo., tournament, while the next action on the schedule for the varsity is set for Monday, at Seneca High School.
