SENECA, Mo. -- The Nevada Lady Tigers varsity volleyball team needed a come-from-behind rally to defeat the Lady Indians of Seneca at Seneca High School Monday.

"We had a hard time getting started tonight and did not come out focused and ready to play," Lady Tigers head coach Ashley Thoreson said. "I had to change some things with the line up during the second game and after that, the girls seemed to respond and start playing to win."

Seneca won the opening set by a final score of 25-20, only to see the Lady Tigers come back and take the final two sets to earn the victory by the final scores of 25-14 and 25-10. Nevada's junior varsity squad completed the sweep with a two-set victory by the final scores of 25-21 and 25-17.

"I am hoping that after our last few matches, the team is realizing that we need to be prepared and come out ready to play consistently, no matter who our competition is," Thoreson said.

Morgan McNeley led the Lady Tigers with 30 assists on the night, while Sharla Quick recorded a team-high 10 kills. Bree Reppert added five aces and Rilie Good recorded eight blocks.

The Lady Tigers were scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday, heading back out on the road to take on Ash Grove, but those results were not available at press time.
