NEVADA -- The Nevada Middle School eighth-grade girls basketball A team posted a pair of strong victories this week.

On Thursday, the A team was responsible for a split against McDonald County, taking a 20-19 victory, while McDonald County won the B game, 30-6, at Nevada Middle School.

The A team got right back into action Friday night, teaming up with the seventh-grade A team in an effort to keep the momentum going against El Dorado Springs Middle School. The eighth graders were able to do exactly that, beating El Dorado Springs by a final score of 32-21.

The seventh-grade A team put forth an even more dominant performance, beating El Dorado Springs by a final score of 22-7. With that win, the seventh graders improved to 4-1 on the year.

Next on the schedule for both squads is Monday, when they host Joplin South, at 5:30 p.m.
