Nevada swimmers compete at Carthage

The Nevada High School girls' swim team took fourth in the Carthage Invitational Saturday.

Eight teams took part in the meet. Nixa finished on top with 288 points, followed by Springfield Kickapoo with 230, Carthage at 212, Nevada at 138, Lamar with 127, Joplin with 111, Springfield Hillcrest with 87 and Seymour with 19.

Individual placers for Nevada were:

200-yard medley relay -- third, 2:11.31.

200-yard freestyle -- Grace Reichard, first, 1:58.29; Tayrin Schmitt, fourth, 2:17.22; Elizabeth Prewitt, 16th, 2:42.37.

200-yard individual medley -- Morgan Ernsbarger, ninth, 2:48.83; Lize Smith, 17th, 3:19.67; Tayler Matthews, 18th, 3:54.12.

50-yard free -- Grace Reichard, first, 25.30; Abbie Landoll, 10th, 29.50; Melody Reichard, 13th, 31.34; Lauren Watts, 19th, 34.99; Makayla Charles, 22nd, 43.06.

100-yard butterfly -- Tayler Matthews, 15th, 1:52.44.

100-yard free -- Abbie Landoll, 11th, 1:10.99; Lauren Watts, 14th, 1:17.97; Maddie Gordon, 15th, 1:18.41; Lize Smith, 16th, 1:20.14.

500-yard free -- Elizabeth Prewitt, ninth, 7:20.22.

200-yard free relay -- fourth, 1:57.22.

100-yard backstroke -- Melody Reichard, sixth, 1:17.28; Morgan Ernsbarger, 11th, 1:20.04.

100-yard breaststroke -- Tayrin Schmitt, eighth, 1:23.16.

400-yard free relay -- fifth, 5:08.43.
