Bronaugh boys fall to McAuley

Saturday, January 26, 2013

Bronaugh's boys put three strong quarters of basketball in the scoring column, but unfortunately, fell off in the second, and wound up on the wrong end of an 80-63 outcome Thursday night against McAuley.

Bronaugh was within three at 16-13 at the first break. The Wildcats were within two points of the third-quarter offensive production of their opponents and matched McAuley, point-for-point in the fourth.

But a 24-10 difference in the second period produced a 40-23 difference at halftime and Bronaugh was never able to make up that difference.

Patrick Hallam's 26 points fueled the Wildcats. Blake Hudson contributed 17, Josh Willis had 10, Chance Wait four and Cole Diggins two.
