Wanda M. Turner, 85, Sheldon, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Truman Healthcare and Rehab, Lamar, Mo., following a short illness. She was born Jan. 10, 1928, in Wellsville, Mo., to Earl Smith and Nancy R. Davis Smith. She married Amos Delbert Turner on Sept. 21, 1955, in Wellsville, Mo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1983.

Wanda was raised in Wellsville and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1946. She came to Sheldon in 1962. Wanda worked for O'Sullivan Industries for 25 years until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of the Sheldon Baptist Church.

Survivors include seven children, Stan Dunn and his wife, Sharon, Langhorne, Pa., Randy Dunn and his wife, Pam, Carthage, Mo., Nancy Crews and her husband, Skip, Lamar, Mo., Robyn Abbott and her husband, Rod, Sheldon, Mo., Traci Duffy and her husband, Ed, Lawson, Mo., Rick Turner and Carrie Rawlings, Sheldon, and Carri Ann Turner, Lawson, Mo.; 35 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Nadine Brandenburg, state of Virginia; and four nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband; twin sister, Wanita Clement; and five grandchildren, Shiloh, Brandi, Shaun, Raven, and Jacob.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 4, at the Sheldon Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerod Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and the family receives friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home.
