Homer Edward Wangler

Homer Edward Wangler, 84, of El Dorado Springs, Mo., died Dec. 3, 2003, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. He was born on July 31, 1919, in Kansas City, Mo., to William J. and Armilda Jane (Brown) Wangler. He married Nola D. Kroger in 1959 and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Wangler was a World War II veteran who received the Purple Heart. He was a delivery driver for Merchants Delivery in Kansas City, Mo. He was a teamster.

He is survived by one son, Kevin Wangler, Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Edith Hickerson, Overland Park, Kan.; two grandsons and three great-grandsons.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home in Schell City, Mo., with the Rev. Bill Clevenger officiating. The Sulphur Springs Singers will sing, and Sharon Goodman will provide accompaniment. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Schell City, Mo. Pallbearers will be Ross Wangler, Nick Wangler, Garry Dade, Larry Dade, Tracy Brungard and Jim Davis.

The family will receive visitors 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
