Lydia Genora Driskell

Lydia Genora Driskell, 89, El Dorado Springs, Mo., died Jan. 8, 2004, at Moore-Few Care Center. Lydia was born May 25, 1917, in Cedar County, Mo., to Charles Thomas and Nancy Angeline (Jones) Cox. On Dec. 22, 1950, she married Herman Edgar Driskell and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1966.

Mrs. Driskell was a homemaker and a member of Missionary Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs, Mo.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Driskell, Kansas City, Mo., Don Driskell, Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Nancy Eaves, El Dorado Springs, Mo., Margaret Carter-Reiff, Deerfield, Mo.; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 11, at Missionary Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs, Mo., with Brother Everett Smith and Brother Lewis Eslinger officiating. Music will be presented by Tom and Pat Arnold. Pallbearers will be Don Driskell, Charles Driskell, Ron Ring, Tracy Talbott, John L. Eslinger and W.D. Seitz. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Kite, Charles Driskell, Jr., Kyla Carter-Kite, Alicia Carter, Megan Eaves, Jennifer Driskell and Zachary Carter-Kite. Interment will be in Hackleman Cemetery, El Dorado Springs, Mo. Family visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, at Missionary Baptist Church, El Dorado Springs, Mo. There will also be visitation from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday prior to the service at the church.
