Dorothy Marie Olson

Dorothy Marie Olson, 86, Nevada, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at her home in Nevada following a sudden illness. She was born March 5, 1918, in Knob Noster, Mo., to Fred William Poese and Olga Marie Krone Poese. She married Walter O. Olson on Nov. 17, 1979, in Nevada. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1992.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Nevada. She grew up in Knob Noster, Mo. She has been in Nevada the past 45 years and worked for Nelly Don in Nevada until her retirement.

Survivors include two sons, David Bever, Las Vegas, Nev., and Dale Bever, Independence, Kan.; one brother, Harold Poese, Prairie Village, Kan.; one sister, Ruby Heard, Grandview, Mo.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Poese; and an infant brother Melva Poese.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Johannes Brann officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. Friends may call now and until 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and the family receives friends 7-8 p.m. today at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
