Ted J. Long, age 69, of Nevada, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada. He was born Oct. 25, 1935, in Nevada, to Chester Jack and Marjie Dixon Long. He married Jeaneen Dukes on May 27, 1957, in Nevada and she survives of the home.

Ted lived in Nevada nearly all of his life and graduated from Nevada High School in 1953. Upon graduation, he worked for Kraft Foods for several years, also managed the Derby Gas Station on the west edge of Nevada for a time. Later he worked as a parts counter man for C.A. White Motors which then became Brown Ford. His last job was at 3M, Nevada, where he worked for 22 years, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed being an amateur radio operator and spent many happy hours with his dogs. He was baptized one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1981.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Jeaneen, include one daughter, Kristi Feagan and her husband, Paul, Milo; one son Corey Long and his wife, Michelle, Nevada; grandchildren, Andrea Green, Nevada, Paul Feagan Jr., Milo, Casey Long, Nevada; and one great-grandchild, Chloe Green, Nevada. He is also survived by his uncle, Charlie Hiestand, Garnett, Kan., plus many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Elder Bradley Miller officiating.
