Florence Marie (Terry) Bell

Florence Marie (Terry) Bell, 92, Prescott, Kan., died Dec. 24, 2004, at the Country View Nursing Home in Prescott, Kan. She was born on May 3, 1912, the daughter of Joseph and Minnie (Beshore) Terry near Rich Hill. She married Donald Lee Bell in 1948.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nevada. She graduated from Rich Hill High School, and then enrolled in nursing school. She lived in Los Angeles, Calif., working for the Goodrich Company; and in Houston, Texas, working for Shell Oil Company during World War II. After the war, she returned to Rich Hill. She was a member of the Foster Art Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Mona Beardslee, Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Jones, Butler, Mo., and Emma Bartz, Odessa, Mo.; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; daughter, Kathy; her parents; three brothers, Dwight, Enos and Lewis; and two sisters, Geneva Cooper and Josephine Terry.

Services were held at the Heuser Funeral Home on Dec. 27, at 2 p.m., with Dennis Mix officiating. Special musical selections were provided by Dennis and Janice Mix. Pallbearers were Jerry Jones, Lindy Barrett, Randy Bell, Dennis Bell, Joe Terry and Russ Wineland. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Bradley, Bill Bradley, Don Bradley, David Bradley, Jim Bradley and Justin Bell. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, Mo. Arrangements were by Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill.
