Laura Lois Foursha

Laura Lois Foursha, 94, Nevada, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada, following a short illness. She was born May 16, 1910, in Jerico Springs, Mo., to William Dollarhide and Anna Orr Dollarhide. She married Bus Foursha on Oct. 28, 1938, in Butler, and he preceded her in death in 1977.

Laura grew up and graduated from high school in Lockwood, Mo., in 1928. She went to Southwest Missouri Teachers College. She taught school in one-room country schools in the Lockwood and Greenfield, Mo., areas. Laura came to Nevada in 1954 and has lived here ever since. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Nevada.

Survivors include one son, Sam Foursha and his wife, Cindy, Nevada; and five grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry Foursha; three sisters; and three brothers.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Pastor Bill Platt officiating. Private committal services will be held at Newton Burial Park. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
