Ralph Franklin Rich

Ralph Franklin Rich, 77, Fort Scott, Kan., died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at the Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home. He was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Harding, Kan., the son of Frank S. Rich and Eva Richardson Rich.

He was never married. He worked in his earlier years for Schafer Grocery. He farmed more than 30 years for Chet Ober. He attended the First Church of God.

Survivors include two sisters, Nina Terrill, Fort Scott, Kan., and Betty DoByns, Garland, Kan.; and one brother, James Rich, Liberal, Mo. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Malcom Rich, and Adrian Rich; and one sister, Helen Douglas.

Carl Carlisle will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m., Saturday in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in Lath Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral chapel. Memorials are suggested to the First Church of God and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O.
