Mary Ferne Fox

Mary Ferne Fox, 88, Nevada, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada. She was born Jan. 5, 1917, in the Sandstone community, Vernon County, to Charles and Jennie Martin. She married Glen R. Fox on June 25, 1938, in Girard, Kan., and he preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1997.

She was a lifelong resident of Vernon County. She grew up in the Sandstone area and graduated from Sheldon High School. She has lived in Nevada since 1945. She attended the Church of The Nazarene. She worked at the White Grill and also Firp & Bob's Restaurant for many years.

Survivors include one daughter, Glenna Fund, Polo, Mo.; one grandson; and two great-grandsons. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother; one sister; one foster brother; and one daughter, Charlene Fox in 1995.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery. Friends may call now and until the hour of service.
