James Lee "Jim" Linn

James Lee "Jim" Linn, 62, resident of rural Uniontown, Kan., died unexpectedly early Saturday, March 19, 2005, at his home following a heart attack. He was born Feb. 2, 1943, in Newport, Wash., the son of Lloyd and Meade Linn. He married Donna Hall on April 17, 1992.

He was currently employed as a truck driver with T&T Grain of Sheldon. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Donna, of the home, Uniontown; stepsons, Jeremy Hall, Redfield, Kan., and Casey Hall, Uniontown; son, James Linn Jr., Long Island, N.Y.; stepdaughter, Jennifer Stone, Uniontown; and two daughters, Ganette Stewart and Cindy Marsh, both of Fort Scott, Kan. Also surviving is a brother, Harold Swink, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Spc. Butch Hall; one brother, Charles Swink; sister, Callamay Voke; and one grandson, Layne Matthew Stone.

Pastor David Kuns will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m., Thursday, in the U.S. National Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Olson Frary Burkhart Post No. 1165 Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Cheney Witt Chapel.
