Joseph Oliver Allison, 86, of Nevada died on Friday, April 29, 2005, at the Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. He was born on May 7, 1918, in Nevada, to Llewellyn V. Allison and Agnes M. Kestler Allison.

He grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1938. During World War II he worked as a welder in the shipyards in Mobile, Ala. He later made his living as a welder and retired from Norman Sheet Metal in Nevada. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council No. 855 and the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Luke E. Hart Assembly No. 1953 in Nevada.

He is survived by a niece, Tracy Gajda of Nevada; and a sister-in-law, Glenness Allison Cayes, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Lllewelly Walter Allison and James S. Allison.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 2, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nevada, with Anthony Pileggi officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Nevada. Friends may call from now until 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
