Edward L. Harbin

Edward L. Harbin, 69, El Dorado Springs, was born May 11, 1936, in Kansas City and passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2005.

He married Harriet Sue Acheson on Aug. 30, 1958, and to this union two sons were born., Michael D. and Mark R.

Edward enjoyed his life and kept busy with his retirement. He loved his family and friends. He had a big love for old cars.

In 2001, he met back up with Glenda Haller, who he used to work with, and he enjoyed spending time with her.

Survivors include his sons, Michael D. Harbin, Kansas City, and Mark R. Harbin and his wife, Jeannie, El Dorado Springs, and their daughters, Maranda Green, Jennifer Banta and Bethany Harbin; great-grandchild, Payton Green and one family companion "Buttons;" his brother, Robert L. Harbin and wife, of Kansas City; sisters, Shirley Harbin, Kansas City, and Jean Deets and husband, of Bethlehem, Pa.

Services were held Tuesday, June 7, at the Hackleman Chapel with Shelby Brandt officiating. Interment was in the Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, under the direction of the Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.

Honorary pallbearers were Harold Fugate, Michael Barger, Brent Bland, Gene Floyd, George Young and Vic Wolf.
