Smiths observe 40th anniversary

Eldon and Karren Smith were married on June 9, 1965, at the United Methodist Church in Nevada.

In honor of their 40 years of marriage their children, Jami and husband, Mark Hendren, of Joplin, and Melinda and husband, Bryce Headrick, of Springfield, arranged a photography session for the entire family including six grandchildren and Karren's mother, Ruth Merchant, of Nevada.

Following the photography session, held on a recent Saturday in May at the Hendren's home in Joplin, the children hosted a family barbecue.
