Karen J. Hanlin

Karen J. Hanlin, 59, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away June 24, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital.

Karen was born Sept. 19, 1645, in Clinton, Mo., to Clifford F. and Margaret I. (Fitzmorris) Brick. She was a member of St. Roberts Bellarmine Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband James "Gil" Hanlin, of the home; son, Ryan J. Hanlin and wife, Samantha, of Gallatin, Tenn.; daughter, Jill S. Hanlin, of the home; a brother, Gary R. Brick and wife, Sharon; twin sister, Sharon K. Messick and husband, Marion, all of Springfield; three grandchildren; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Contributions may be made to the Catholic Guild.

Services were held today, June 28, at 10 a.m., at St. Roberts Bellarmine Catholic Church in Blue Springs. Burial followed at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, Mo. Arrangements are by Webb-Freer Funeral Home, 205 SW 17th Street, Blue Springs, MO 64015, (816) 229-2101.
