Paul Alan Scott, 34, of Nevada, Mo., formerly of Nortonville, Kan., died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, in Nevada, following an accident at his home.

He was born on June 14, 1971, in Winchester, Kan., the son of Carl E. and Betty A. (Martin) Scott.

Paul and Connie Scott were married on May 24, 2003, at Baldwin City, Kan. She survives of the home.

He attended and graduated from Jefferson County North Schools.

He also attended Northeast Kansas Area Vo-Tech School at Atchison, Kan.

He had worked at a machine shop in Whiting, Kan.; Sauer-Sundstrand transmission repair at Lawrence, Kan.; and was currently working as a farm laborer in Nevada, Mo., where he had just moved a few weeks ago.

He was a member of the Mayetta Masonic Lodge No. 393 and a former member of the Nortonville Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include four stepchildren, stepgrandchildren; one brother, Edward L. "Pete" Scott of Nortonville; and one sister, Karla A. Tolson of Ohio.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at the Nortonville Christian Church in Nortonville, Kan., with the Rev. LeRoy Riley officiating. Burial will be in the Nortonville Cemetery.

Family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral services at the church on Thursday.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Paul, may be made to help with funeral expenses. Arrangements are by O'Trimble Funeral Home in Nortonville.
