Frances C. Klampe

Frances C. Klampe, 95, Overland Park, Kan., formerly Nevada, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park, Kan. She was born April 1, 1910, in Livingston, Mont., to John Lyman Ruckman and Effie Caligta Turk Ruckman. She married Raymond F. Klampe on June 2,1936, in Lewistown, Mont., and he preceded her in death in 1993.

Frances was born and reared in Montana. She came to Nevada in 1990 from Billings, Mont. She had taught English and Latin for 17 years in Montana. Mrs. Klampe was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Delta Kappa Gamma and P.E.O. Sisterhood. She enjoyed her family, church affiliations, sewing, needlework, reading, and her friends.

Survivors include one grandson, William Watkins, Lenexa, Kan.; one granddaughter, Jennifer Phillips, Lee's Summit, Mo., and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Watkins, three brothers, and one sister.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 16, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Ralph Clark officiating. Committal will follow in Newton Burial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home.
