Woodrow "Woody" Wilson Wade

Woodrow "Woody" Wilson Wade, 89, Wright City, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at Gamma Road Lodge, Wellsville, Mo. He was born Nov, 7, 1916, in Nevada, to Frederick Lewis Wade and Dottie Poland Wade. He was married to Doris Batchelor and she survives of the home.

Woody was born and reared in rural Nevada. He made his living in the construction business primarily in the St. Louis area, retiring in 1995.

Survivors in addition to his wife Doris, of the home, include two sons, Joe Fox, Montgomery City, Mo., and Steve Wade, Branson, Mo.; one daughter, Shirley Kleen Himer, Lake Ozark, Mo., six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, and five siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Pastor David Rorabaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends Thursday, Dec. 29, from noon to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
