Pansy Pearl Comstock, 84, of Fort Scott, Kan., died early Friday morning March 31, 2006 at her home. She was born June 7, 1921, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Edward and Carrie Pearl Hayden Harris. She married Mack F. Comstock, Dec. 7, 1939 in Stockton, Calif.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Red Hat Ladies, and Daughters of the Nile.

Pansy is survived by her husband Mack, of the home, her children; Carolyn Meek, Louisburg, Kan., Jim Comstock, Fort Scott, Janet Comstock, Pasadena, Texas, and Sharon Comstock, Crosby, Texas; two sisters, Betty Whipple, Rosehill, Kan., Carolyn Brown, Fort Scott; eight grandchildren, Mark Meek, Marilyn and husband Jason Mueller, Mike Meek and wife Liz, Jeff Comstock and wife Denece, Brian Comstock and wife Becky, Andrea Masters and husband Travis, Tammy Gernander and husband Marc, and Daren Wells and wife Carie; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Briana and Kaleb Mueller, Molly, Conner, Hanna, and Carson Meek, Kaylie, Jordan, and Claire Comstock, Jescie Comstock, Alli, Cauy, and Layni Masters, and Blake Gernander, and another great-grandchild due in June.

The Rev. Deane Endicott and the Rev. R.B. Shoemaker will conduct funeral services Tuesday, April 4, at 1:30 p.m., at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fort Scott National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas or Shriners Hospital Dads and left in care of Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall Street, P.O.
