Roy H. Hinkle, 55, formerly of the Sheldon, Bronaugh areas, died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada following an illness of several months.

Roy graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1968. He was a member of the Sheldon Masonic Lodge No. 371. He had worked for Wal-Mart for 19 years as assistant manager. He most recently worked as plant manager and personnel supervisor for Bass Equipment Company in Monett, Mo., for 15 years until his retirement due to his illness. He had lived in Monett for the past 17 years.

Survivors include three sons, Troy L. Hinkle and wife Shannon, Justin R. Hinkle and wife Jessica, and Ryan H. Hinkle and wife Kelly, all of Monett; three granddaughters, Shyan Hinkle, Shellbie Hinkle, and Callie Hinkle, all of Monett; one sister, Joy Snyder, Nevada, Mo; four brothers, Milton Hinkle, Sheldon, Amos Hinkle, Bronaugh, Charles Hinkle, Sheldon, and Leonard Hinkle, Gladbrook, Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, R. Laverne Hinkle, and John Gilmartin.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 22, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon. Masonic services will be held at 6:30 p.m., with visitation to follow from 7-8 p.m., at the funeral home on Friday, April 21.
