Jennifer Gayle Hancock -- Christopher Adam Schulze wed

Jennifer Gayle Hancock and Christopher Adam Schulze were married May 27, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Republic, Mo. Steve Ward, pastor, served as officiant for the afternoon ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Kim and Gayla Hancock, of Republic, and Ron and Ranea Schulze, of Nevada.

Anna Hancock, cousin of the bride, of Newport Beach, Calif., greeted the guests and served as guest book and program attendant.

Candlelighters were Melissa and Emily Hancock, cousins of the bride, from Newport Beach, Calif. A string quartet provided musical selections for the ceremony.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of spun gold antique lace and satin. The gown featured a strapless bodice of intricately patterned antique lace accented with Swarovski beading and had a natural waist with ribbon waistband and jewel buckle. The full skirt had a matching antique lace motif extending into a chapel-length train. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory, pink and burgundy roses, cream hydrangeas, and queen anne's lace.

Attending her sister as maid of honor was Amy Hancock, Republic. Matron of honor was Laura Hancock, sister-in-law of the bride, also of Republic. Bridesmaids were Allison Thomas, of Republic; and Ashley (Bland) Sperling, El Dorado Springs. Junior bridesmaid was Kari Hancock of Newport Beach, Calif.
Best men were Kyle Schulze, brother of the groom, Nevada, and Chase Wilmoth, friend of the groom, from Mt. Vernon. Groomsmen were Donald Hancock, brother of the bride, Republic; Ryan King, friend of the groom, St. Louis; and Grant Hancock, brother of the bride, Republic. Seating the guests were friends of the groom, Jay Butler, of Springfield and Reed Slates, of Nevada; and the bride's cousin, Stephen Hancock, of Newport Beach, Calif.
A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents in Republic.

Following the honeymoon to Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Mo., the couple now resides in Republic. The bride works at Federal Protection Inc. in Springfield, Mo., as a marketing director. The groom is employed as an arborist for Ryan Lawn and Tree in Springfield. The couple met while playing for the Southwest Baptist University men's and women's basketball teams.
