Karen Darlene Earll, 58, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at her home in Nevada. She was born April 19, 1948, in Springerville, Ariz., to Cardest R. Cheney and Vera Lurlene Stine Cheney.

Karen came to Nevada from Arkansas with her family at the age of 15. She attended school in Nevada. She worked at the Nevada Country Club for a number of years, operated Ewan's Drive-In for a time and also worked at Nevada State Hospital as switchboard operator. She had worked at Cottey College for the past two years. From 1989-2001 she had lived in Fulton, Mo., where she had worked for Ovid Bell Printing Co. and also the Union Electric Nuclear Plant.

Karen was martied to Leroy Earll on May 28, 1963, in Nevada. To this marriage were born two daughters, Susie Farmer and her husband Stan, Jefferson City, Mo., and Beverly Jean Roberts, Pierce City, Mo.; five grandchildren, Camille, Wyatt, Ian, Moriah, and Brieanna; four brothers, Kenneth Cheney, state of California, Walter Cheney, state of Nevada, Paul Cheney, and Chuck Cheney, both of Fulton; and two sisters, Kathy Atterberry, Portland, Mo., and Sheffy Baker, Nevada. She was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Cheney in 1979.

A memorial service will be hold at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with pastor David Landwehr officiating.
