Rose Mary Magnone Madar

Rose Mary Magnone Madar, 92, formerly of Colorado Springs, Colo., passed away on Jan. 11, 2007, while living at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, Mo. She was born Feb. 15, 1914, in Aultman, Pa., to Andrew Magnone and May Perry Magnone.

Rosemary was one of eight children born to Italian immigrants. She was reared in Jamestown, N.Y., with five sisters. Her two younger brothers died in the Influenza Pandemic of 1918. She eventually married Alexander Madar and had a daughter, Andrea Michele Madar. Later, she divorced and eventually worked as a secretary in the Operations Division, 4th Weather Wing at Ent Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, where she was awarded with an outstanding performance rating.

She is survived by her only daughter, Andrea Michele Chasman, Coppell, Texas; Andrea's children, Bill Crim and wife Diane, and children Aaron and Nicholas; Dr. Michael Alan Crim and wife Shellie, and children Tyler, Mason, and Abigail; Laurel Anne and husband Paul Bartmess and children Isabella and Gwyneth; and Stephen Chasman. She also leaves three living sisters, Joan Silvestri, Tucson, Ariz., Clara Peterson, Plano, Texas, and Angela Foti, Jamestown, N.Y. Rosemary was preceded in death by her sisters, Maria Cotter, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Frances Bullock, Jamestown, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, Mo. A private committal will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
