Marjorie L. Tabor, 82, passed away on April 17, 2007, at 5:05 a.m., at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 26, 1925, in Webb City, Mo., to James L. Hawkins and Rose Shelton Hawkins.

She was a beautician, and a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Webb City. Marjorie married Bud Tabor on Oct. 7, 1941, in Joplin, Mo., and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2002.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Wheeler and husband Rex of Nevada, Dawna Selsor and husband David of Carthage, Mo.; sister, Patricia Snyder of Branson, Mo.; grandchildren, Mike Selsor of Nevada, Michelle Long and husband Cory of Nevada, Mindy Turner and husband Scott of Alabama, Mark Selsor of Nevada, Kristy Rogers and husband Brad of Webb City, Randy Wheeler of Webb City; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Hawkins and James "Buck" Hawkins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with the Rev. Ron Woody officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Fund or Community Hospice's of America in care of the funeral home.
