Mitchel and Brandi Spainhoward
Mitchel Stephen Spainhoward and Brandi Jo Johnson were married on May 19, 2007, at Rosie's Cabin in Uniontown, Kan.
Mitchel is the son of Scott and Marthena Spainhoward, of Uniontown, and the grandson of Marvin and Margaret Hess, of Hume, Mo., and Don Spainhoward and the late Helen Spainhoward of Uniontown.
Brandi is the daughter of Wesley and Billie Sue Johnson, of Bronson, Kan., and the granddaughter of Bill and Clarice Swezey of Mulberry, Kan., and Buford and Reta Mae Johnson of Bronson.
The bride wore a strapless, white satin A-line gown with silver beading on the bodice, skirt, and train. The bride's veil was held with a rhinestone and pearl tiara. The bride carried a bouquet of fresh pink and white Gerber daisies accented with other fresh flowers.
Toni Gibson, friend of the bride, served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Kaitlin Spainhoward, sister of the groom, and Jamie Johnston, friend of the bride.
Luke Spainhoward, brother of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Clint Johnson, brother of the bride, and Vance Eden, friend of the groom.
Katie Burks, cousin of the bride, served as the flower girl, and Caleb Hemby, cousin of the bride, served as the ring bearer. Ushers in the wedding were Garrett Clark, cousin of the groom, and Phillip Russell, friend of the groom.
Pastor Rob Mauk, friend of the bride, performed the ceremony, while Tommie Miller, friend of the bride, sang "The Prayer, and "To Me," accompanied by Mary Bruner, friend of the groom.
Guest book attendant was Dana Ellis, cousin of the bride. Program attendants were Jamie Dawson, friend of the bride, and MacKenzie Jackman, cousin of the bride. Wedding favor attendants were Taryn Burks, Emily Fox, and Trella Davis, all cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the couple had a reception and dinner. The four-tiered wedding cake was decorated with pink and honeydew green ribbon on each tier, and had an initial "S" on the second tier of the cake. Fresh pink and yellow Gerber daisies accented the cake.
The couple honeymooned in San Antonio, Texas. The couple now reside in Uniontown, Kan.
The bride graduated with a bachelor's in social work, and is a child/adolescent case manager at the Southeast Kansas Mental Health Center. The groom graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and is employed by Watco Companies as a corporate accountant, while currently working on his master's in accounting at Pittsburg State University.
