Iva Florence Reeder

Iva Florence Reeder, 99, of Uniontown, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at the Mercy Health Center. She was born Dec. 15, 1908, in Golden, Mo., the daughter of James Thomas and Sarah Elizabeth (Wright) Tackkett. Her family came to Kansas in 1914 by covered wagon, to the Dry Ridge area near Uniontown. She married Clyde Adron Reeder April 6, 1932, in Nevada. He preceded her in death Sept. 17, 1982. She was a member of the Sunshine Club of Dry Ridge.

She is survived by her son; Donald Reeder and his wife Carol, of Redfield, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Iva was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ray, Wesley, and Fred Tackkett and four sisters, Alta Massoth, Nora Garman, Grace Smith, and Mary Paige.

The Rev. Richard Tackkett will conduct funeral services for Iva at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Uniontown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society, or to Mercy Transportation, and left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall Street, P.O.
