Adena (Pellet) McKemey of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at North Kansas City Hospital. Memorial services will be 7:00 pm Friday, March 28, 2008 at Avondale United Methodist Church, 3101 NE Winn Rd. KCMO. Visitation will be Friday 4:30 to 7:00pm Friday in Wesley Hall at the Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Avondale United Methodist Church.

Adena was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Irving and Hilda (Schultz) Pellet. She married Lloyd McKemey in 1955 at Grand Avenue Temple in KCMO and together they ministered to 10 different congregations around the state. She was a fabulous vocalist and sang for many funerals and civic groups. She collected stamps and loved to sew. She was well known for making small and miniature boxes out of all types of greeting cards and would then give them out as inspirational gifts. Adena was a member of Avondale United Methodist Church and is the namesake of the newest guild for young women, the "Adena Guild".

She is preceded into heaven by her parents, 2 Brothers; Kenneth and Ezra and 1 Sister; Dorothy.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lloyd of the home. 1 Sister; Ruth Pietro of Alexandria, Virginia and 3 Nieces.
